What You'll Do at the Division of Motor Vehicles:
- Assist customers with driver's licenses and state IDs by checking required documents, helping complete forms, taking photos and fingerprints, administering tests, and explaining rules and procedures.
- Process payments and handle cashiering by collecting fees, issuing correct change, recording transactions accurately, balancing cash daily, and maintaining payment records.
- Prepare and send official notices related to license suspensions or cancellations and retrieve records when requested by courts or through subpoenas.
- Provide front desk and phone support by answering calls, assisting visitors, and handling routine tasks independently while using good judgment in unique situations.
- Compile data and prepare reports by collecting and organizing information for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as needed.
- Enter and update records accurately by performing data entry for driver's license and state ID information, transaction details, and statistical data.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Work schedule is from 7:45 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
- May float to various driver licensing centers as needed.
