Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Laundry Manager to join our growing team. As the Laundry Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our laundry facility, ensuring the timely and efficient cleaning of linens. You will be responsible for managing a team of laundry staff, maintaining inventory levels, implementing quality control measures, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all activities related to the laundry department, including sorting, washing, drying, and folding of linens.
- Create and implement efficient workflows and schedules to ensure timely completion of laundry.
- Maintain high standards for quality control and actively monitor and address any issues.
- Ensure that inventory levels of laundry supplies are maintained and make timely orders when necessary.
- Train and supervise a team of laundry staff, including assigning their duties, monitoring their performance, and providing constructive feedback.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Oversee maintenance and repair of laundry equipment and promptly report any issues to the appropriate person.
- Develop and maintain relationships with staff to understand their needs and communicate any issues or delays effectively.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and other relevant data.
- Continuously seek opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience (3 years) as a Laundry Manager or similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of laundry operations and equipment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
