Excavator Operator
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation and hands-on experience in construction environments, including skid steer grading. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating excavators and other heavy machinery to perform various tasks on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Duties
- Operate excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and graders to complete excavation and construction tasks.
- Operate skid steers for grading, leveling, and site preparation.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other crew members to execute project plans effectively.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating heavy machinery on-site.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
Experience
- Proven experience operating excavators and other heavy equipment in a construction setting is essential.
- Experience operating a skid steer for grading, leveling, and site preparation is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues are preferred.
- A strong understanding of construction site procedures and safety regulations is required.
