Job Description
The Product Developer Assistant will work with the Product Development Director and Development Teams to coordinate the development of the collection from initial design through pre-production stage including but not limited to: Coordinating sample development from initial sketch through to new style adoption. Help prepare products and boards for seasonal milestone meetings.
Job Duties
- Works with the team to develop seasonal collections from development of the collection through to pre- production handoffs.
- Assisting designers with mood boards, market research, and color palette development for upcoming seasons.
- Communicates key information regarding product to-Product Development and Design team.
- Supports with development process from point of conception to finished product.
- Supports team to gather approvals for prototypes, fabric, lab dip and trims.
- Coordinate product with cross-functional departments and contractors.
- Handle shipping logistics
- Maintain and update divisional charts throughout the development process.
- Flexible and can adapt to changes; thrives in an ever-changing and fast-paced collaborative work environment.
- Must be able to anticipate and mitigate risks/issues and demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities to resolve potential roadblocks with cross-functional departments.
Required experience:
− Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
− Strong Adobe illustrator and Photoshop skills
− Knowledge of fabrics.
− Exceptional time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
− Recent college graduate preferred
