A Typical Day May Include The Following
- Develops, services, and delivers financial planning to clients.
- Provides annual client reviews.
- Assist clients with insurance, retirement, and estate planning.
- Follows up on bank/firm generated leads.
- Develops and maintains written systems of their activity.
- Reviews business trends and advises customers regarding expected fluctuations.
- Attends sales and trade meetings to develop new business prospects
- Makes presentations on financial services to groups to attract new clients.
- Promotes favorable image of the financial institution in all business activities within the community.
- This position requires travel to outside offices at times to meet with management and staff, however on-site presence is also necessary for regular, successful performance: teamwork, face-to-face interaction with peers/management and the ability to utilize the in-house software and hardware is required. Adherence to the Bank attendance policy is required as an essential function of this position.
- Must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: must get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes; be able to perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others; and respond appropriately to criticism from a supervisor.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field preferred, and appropriate licensure or obtain the licensing with 120 days, including Series 7 and Series 63 AND 65 (or 66 if not both 63 AND 65) and insurance license.
- Previous investment knowledge and experience is preferred.
- Stellar communication
- Sales and public relations skill, as well as interviewing and research skills.
- Continuing education to remain current in new regulations, products, and changes in laws, etc. is required.
