Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring a Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Operating Room at the main hospital in Bolivar, Missouri! CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities, and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, rehab therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the department: The OR consists of 23 active surgeons who perform an average of 372 surgeries/month. The OR has 6 out-patient, 3 in-patient, and 1 C-section designated suites that run 4 teams of staff/day. The surgeons work to educate, train, and develop staff to operate fluidly together.
A typical day includes: Assisting with the supplies and needs of the department. Maintaining a safe, clean patient care environment; knowing and applying aseptic and sterile techniques as applicable.
- Provides perioperative care of the patient
- Prepares the operating room and equipment
- Provides support to physicians and nurses while the procedure is underway
- Handles specimens collected
Job Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma required
- Experience: New graduates welcome, prior scrub tech or LPN experience preferred
- Skills: Communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Licensure/Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist preferred
- Physical: Standing/walking for long periods of time, ability to lift and move patients and equipment, good manual dexterity and visual acuity
The position is: Full-time, working 4 10-hour shifts a week - 7am-5:30pm!
