Operational Sustainability Analyst
In this role you will be responsible for advancing the bank’s operational sustainability program in line with the organization’s enterprise-wide ESG strategy, inclusive of climate. This position will work specifically to manage collection of greenhouse gas inventory data and related reporting in line with emerging stakeholder expectations, to extend operational sustainability best practices into our supply chain, to partner with our suppliers on sustainability data collection, and to support integration of sustainability into existing practices.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Development and implementation of the bank’s supply chain sustainability program, including data collection and supplier engagement
- Track and report progress on supplier engagement including identifying and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Work with Procurement and Sourcing teams and key business partners to support integration of sustainability opportunities and requirements into procurement processes
- Manage data collection and data quality requirements related to operational components of Citizens greenhouse gas inventory.
- Manage tracking and reporting requirements related to the bank’s operational climate commitments, including carbon reduction targets.
- Ensure integration of operational sustainability program metrics and KPIs into broader ESG reporting and engagement function.
- Serve as enterprise subject matter expert on supply chain sustainability and GHG inventory.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors, Masters preferred
- 2 years of environmental management or sustainability experience. Specific experience in carbon accounting, climate reporting and disclosure, and supply chain sustainability preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate with key stakeholders, explain new concepts, and convey relevance of program.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking.
- Desire to learn and be innovative in approach.
