SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Community Living Manager is responsible for the safety and well-being of the individuals at all times, ensuring they each have a treatment plan and delivery of active treatment. Monitor ongoing progress for everyone we serve in the houses. Plan and coordinate effective delivery of staffing and care routines. Maintain all facilities according to agency and OPWDD standards. Responsible for the hiring of staff, evaluate work performance, train in areas needed. Manage regular staff meetings ongoing. Responsible for payroll, reporting any incidents, and purchasing needed items for the houses while maintaining the house budget all with assistance from the house team. Act according to agency expectations and follow established policies and procedures. Work as a team player with all agency employees. Be dedicated to people we support and staff. On call as needed.
Essential Functions (Job Duties)
1. Oversee Residential Habilitation Coordinator & Residential Direct Support Professionals.
2. Communicate effectively with all staff to ensure consistency and efficient follow through the goals of the program.
3. Satisfactorily complete an approved New York State Medication Administration course.
4. Must be van certified to transport participants as per Joshua House van certification process.
5. Report to and take direction from supervisor(s).
6. Satisfactorily complete mandated training requirements and updates as directed by supervisor(s).
7. Attend, participate and conduct necessary meetings as requested by supervisor(s).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time Salaried position. Workweek schedule: Monday through Friday. Evenings and weekends on call and may be required to go onsite. Hours of work: Generally 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Hours may vary depending on the needs of the IRA’s. Hours and schedules may vary depending on Company need and workload. Employees will be given as much advance notice as possible when such changes occur.
Travel
Travel between worksites will be required and additional travel may be required for training or other company needs however minimal long-distance travel is expected.
Required Education and Experience
1. High school diploma or GED; Associates Degree preferred; Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
2. Three - Five years of experience in working with individuals having developmental disabilities or with extensive experience in Human Services. Supervisory experience preferred.
3. Valid New York State Driver's License. Successful clearance of the OD\NW Pre-Employment Checks as per New York State regulations.
