The Surgical Scheduling Associate will be responsible for accurate and timely scheduling of our surgical and pain management procedures. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to help manage this portion of a patient’s journey to wellness.The ideal candidate is a proactive, self-starting, responsible for organizing and coordinating surgical procedures, ensuring smooth workflow, and maintaining accurate patient records, often serving as a primary point of contact for patients and staff.Detailed Responsibilities:Accurately schedule all surgeries and medical procedures.Communicate effectively and daily with any domestic and international colleagues pertaining to the coordinating role.Contact patients regarding appointments and procedures.Promptly respond to emails to ensure efficient communication.Manage and process necessary reports, Operative Reports, Physical Therapy ReportsSend relevant approvals & denials documentation to facilities.Consistently update and maintain patient and procedure recordsAdd patients to the Operating Room (OR) schedule.Performs other related dutiesRequirements:Familiarity in using EHR systemsStrong leadership and team management skills.Ability to critically think and provide solutions and action plans on issues.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environmentData EntryPreferred ExperienceUnderstanding of NY regulations on Workers Compensation and No-FaultKnowledge of HIPAA guidelines and complianceReading Workers Compensation ApprovalsWe are looking for someone who is/canA Fast learnerTeam PlayerExperience with Microsoft ExcelDetailed OrientedCritical ThinkerWork independently and efficientlyAnalyze and problem solve independentlyHas superb verbal and written communication skillsFlexible and can adjust to different situationsWork under pressure to meet productivity guidelines
