About the Role
The Procurement Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement process and ensuring efficient operations within the company.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and schedule direct orders with vendors and business partners.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings and conference calls with vendors and business partners.
- Develop systems to balance supply purchases, pricing, and overall vendor deals for the company.
- Maintain calendars for meetings, tasks, and upcoming events.
- Follow up with suppliers, vendors, and business partners regarding purchases, pricing, and business agreements.
- Maintain inventory control by managing supply levels and usage.
- Handle material returns with suppliers.
- Track incoming orders and follow up on expected deliveries.
- Monitor pricing and supply shortages company-wide.
- Meet deadlines for ordering and repurchasing items.
- Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Strong professionalism in all forms of communication.
- Computer literacy required.
- Proficiency in Gmail and Excel required.
- Knowledge of GPO (Group Purchasing Organization) is a plus.
