What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher position at Citi Staff?
IMMEDIATE job opportunity for a driven individual who has a proven track record of performance and desire to work for a well-established organization. We are looking for an experienced Dispatcher for one of the most comprehensive logistics companies serving the Import/Export community located in Oakland, CA.
Experience with dispatch and drayage (and or open to learning the transportation side of things)
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate daily dispatch activities and track driver availability.
Maintain communication with drivers, security, and operations teams regarding load movements and dock activity.
Provide daily communication and reporting to the customer regarding shipment status, container availability, and operational updates.
Update and maintain dispatch logs, tracking sheets, and operational reports.
Assist with yard coordination to ensure efficient container flow and timely transactions.
Support general clerical and administrative tasks related to dispatch and operations.
Key Qualifications:
Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, or warehouse operations preferred.
Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic reporting tools.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse or port operations environment.
Reliable attendance and ability to work the assigned schedule.
1st shift (7 am to 3:30 pm)
Compensation: $20 - $22hr
