Position SummaryThe Dispatch Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a critical role in supporting daily logistics operations by coordinating transportation activities, communicating with drivers and customers, and ensuring timely, accurate order fulfillment. This position requires strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced logistics environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and dispatch drivers for pickups and deliveries based on schedules and service requirementsServe as the primary point of contact for drivers, customers, and internal teamsMonitor shipment status and proactively communicate delays, issues, or changesEnter, update, and maintain accurate shipment and dispatch information in the TMSResolve delivery issues, driver concerns, and customer inquiries in a timely and professional mannerTrack loads, verify proof of delivery (POD), and ensure proper documentation is completedCollaborate with warehouse, operations, and transportation teams to ensure smooth workflowMaintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and DOT regulationsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred1–3 years of dispatch, logistics, transportation, or customer service experienceStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressureProficient in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems (TMS)Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesPreferred SkillsExperience in freight, 3PL, or distribution environmentsKnowledge of routing, scheduling, and logistics terminologyBilingual (English/Spanish) a plusWork Environment & Physical RequirementsOffice-based role with frequent computer and phone useMay require occasional interaction with warehouse or dock environmentsAbility to sit for extended periods and occasionally walk the facility
