Job Summary
We're seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Compliance Specialist to manage certified payroll processing for 200 employees weekly. This role ensures strict adherence to the Davis-Bacon Act, prevailing wage laws, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. You’ll play a key part in project setup, payroll reporting, and compliance tracking—ensuring every payroll is processed accurately, timely, and audit-ready.
Key Responsibilities
Process certified payroll weekly for 200 employees, ensuring compliance with Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage laws
Apply correct job classifications, fringe calculations, and overtime per certified payroll standards
Set up certified payroll requirements for new projects including wage zones, travel pay, and subsistence
Maintain and update the Certified Payroll Tracker (CPR) for all active projects
Submit timely certified payroll reports (CPRs) to clients and agencies; ensure all documentation meets audit standards
Monitor compliance with OCIP/Non-OCIP reporting; deliver internal reports by the 5th of each month
Collaborate with HR, sales, and project managers to collect wage data, garnishments, and apprentice documentation
Use payroll systems to process, track, and troubleshoot payroll issues; maintain data accuracy across platforms
Stay current on labor law changes and recommend process improvements to enhance compliance
Qualifications
3 years of experience in certified payroll or construction-related payroll
Strong knowledge of Davis-Bacon Act, prevailing wage laws, and payroll compliance standards
Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, or similar)
High attention to detail, excellent organization, and communication skills
Salary : $30 - $40
