We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team. This role plays a key part in supporting the employee lifecycle — from recruitment and onboarding through to training and development. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment:
- Post job openings and coordinate advertising across various platforms
- Screen resumes and assist in scheduling interviews
- Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process
- Support hiring managers with interview coordination and candidate selection
- Onboarding:
- Prepare new hire documentation and coordinate orientation schedules
- Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for all new employees
- Set up employee files and maintain HRIS and related systems (e.g., BambooHR)
- Coordinate completion of pre-employment requirements
- Training & Compliance:
- Assign, track, and monitor employee training requirements
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with company standards
- Support the development and communication of training schedules and updates
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–2 years of HR or administrative experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office and HRIS systems (experience with BambooHR considered an asset)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
