Sunair designs, manufactures and sells state of the art High Frequency (HF) communications systems and
peripherals utilized for long range voice and data communications. We are seeking a Purchasing Agent to be part of our Corporate Office Team. Our New Talent will order and expedite components parts from outside vendors and internal suppliers to support manufacturing operations.
Job Responsibilities:

Order and expedite components parts from outside vendors and internal suppliers to support manufacturing operations

Partner with cross functional teams to identify lead time reduction opportunities and to improve overall vendor services levels. Negotiate with vendors for the best total price

Works pro-actively with other departments to mitigate materials defects, shortages and bill of material variances.

Continually identifies and implements new opportunities for cost reduction

Assists in the evaluation, qualification and selection supply chain partners.

Keeps up to date with material prices and market trends while developing/implementing plans to manage through the market changes

Provide feedback to the purchasing agent and management concerning potential problems that could affect manufacturing operations.

Will be responsible for additional tasks as assigned by reporting manager.
