Position Overview

Circuit Clinical is seeking a Contract Research Assistant to support clinical trial operations by assisting Research Coordinators with study protocol visits and related operational tasks.

This is a contract-based role, not an employee position. The Research Assistant will provide services on an as-needed basis while maintaining autonomy over how services are performed.

The Research Assistant will collaborate closely with Research Coordinators and the Clinical Operations team and will report operationally to the VP, Site Operations for study-related coordination.

Scope of Services

The Contract Research Assistant will support the execution of clinical research studies by performing delegated clinical and operational tasks in accordance with study protocols, institutional policies, sponsor requirements and applicable regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Services may include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting study procedures, as directed by the Research Coordinators, including: measuring vital signs, performing ECGs, phlebotomy and sample collection.
• Collecting, processing, storing, and shipping laboratory specimens per protocol.
• Generating and maintaining accurate laboratory and study-related logs
• Preparing for study visit by gathering source and essential documents, preparing lab kits, and securing required materials.
• Accurately documenting visit data in electronic data capture systems
• Supporting participant recruitment efforts, including contacting and screening potentially eligible participants.
• Conducting patient recruitment outreach.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School diploma required
• Prior clinical research, laboratory, and phlebotomy experience required
• Experience using EMR systems preferred
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain high attention to detail required

Independent Contractor Classification

This role is classified as a 1099 Independent Contractor, not an employee of Circuit Clinical. As such:

• The contractor is not eligible for Circuit Clinical's employee benefits
• The contractor is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and business expenses unless otherwise specified
• Work is performed on a per-assignment basis according to operational and study needs
• Nothing in this role creates an employment relationship
