POSITION DETAILS
Position Summary
- The Shipper position is responsible for preparation and shipment of all outgoing product. Enters equipment information into appropriate management information systems/records and performs shipping functions for the facility.
- Prepare items to be shipped to both domestic and international locations and completes the required forms and documents
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies; submits Purchase Requests and orders supplies when needed
- Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives
- Determines method of shipment and prepares bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents.
- Examines shipment contents and compares with records, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Read, write, speak and understand English.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to multi-task.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, detail oriented.
- Related experience required
- Process all shipments via UPS/FedEx/DHL (International shipping a Plus)
- Follow up on shipments if needed
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Email, Access.
- Prepare and execute all necessary paperwork involved within the shipping activities
- Capable of identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner
- Processes shipments per instructions on shipping documents
- Responsible to coordinate everyday Shipping
- Previous inbound and outbound shipping experience
- Previous filing and data entry experience.
- Must be able lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be reliable
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
