Job Description Finance & Control department in Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is a part of Global Finance organization and responsible for full accounting and financial reporting cycle for Circle K European operations. Circle K Business Centre is looking for a new colleague to join our team as: Accountant Type of Employment: Permanent Location: Riga, Latvia Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided) What you will do: Prepare, review, and process journal entries based on information received from various stakeholders. Reconcile balance sheet accounts, analyze financial data, monitor cash flows, and investigate discrepancies. Perform month-end and period-end closing activities. Respond to queries from site managers, business unit representatives, and external partners. Support colleagues across the organization by answering questions related to financial records and accounting transactions. Handle internal and external audit requests. Participate in process improvement initiatives and help drive efficiencies within the finance function. What we are looking for: Previous experience in accounting, finance, or audit. Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Strong analytical mindset and genuine curiosity to investigate and resolve issues. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities. Good knowledge of MS Office and willingness to learn new systems and processes. Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken, to collaborate with colleagues across Europe.
