What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Services Lead (59637) position at CIRCLE THE CITY?
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Report for duty as scheduled by the Environmental Services Supervisor.
- Provide EVS staff scheduling requirements, as well as ordering housekeeping supplies in the absence of the EVS Supervisor.
- Follow specific facility cleaning schedules as assigned by the EVS Supervisor.
- Daily duties include sweeping and mopping floors, trash disposal, dusting in high (doorframes) and low places (furnishings), air duct vent cleaning as scheduled, furniture cleaning, and general office area cleaning.
- Restroom cleaning which will occur numerous times as scheduled throughout the day, which may include trash disposal, cleaning mirrors, cleaning showers and toilets, sweeping and mopping floors, restocking of restroom supplies.
- EVS Techs will follow dorm cleaning schedules as established by the Respite Site Program Managers and the EVS Supervisor.
- EVS Techs will clean the respite site kitchen areas, which includes wiping down appliances and counter tops, trash disposal and mopping floors after Dietary Operations have finished for the day, or as scheduled by the EVS Supervisor.
- Dining and multi-purpose rooms should be cleaned a minimum of 3 times per day to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
- EVS Techs will clean staff break rooms on a daily basis to ensure the environment is clean and organized.
- Become familiar with pre-established EVS cleaning requirements for use at each site.
- Follow MRSA, C. diff, and Staph cleaning protocols as deemed necessary and appropriate under the guidance of the EVS Supervisor.
- Alert the EVS Supervisor of any shortages of cleaning supplies that may occur so that reordering can occur efficiently.
- Alert Facilities of any broken or malfunctioning equipment that may be discovered during the process of cleaning the facility.
Qualifications:
Basic Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum age of 21 years old.
- Computer skills: MS Office Suite, MS Word a plus.
- Able to operate effectively and efficiently with moderate supervision.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Position requires extended periods of sitting and standing.
- Position requires regular bending and reaching.
- Able to adapt to rapid, unpredictable workflow.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with the underserved population preferred.
- The ability to work shifts as needed.
