Circle of Life Caregiver Co-op, Whatcom County's only employee-owned homecare cooperative, is seeking certified caregivers committed to providing outstanding client care. As a co-op member, caregivers have a say in how the business is run and they participate in co-op decision making. At COL, we are committed to fostering a positive work environment where your skills are valued and appreciated. Caregivers with certification start @ $23.00 an hour and go to $25.00 an hour after three months. If you are looking for a different kind of homecare employment, give us a call!
Duties
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to clients in their homes.
- Assist with medication reminders and health monitoring to ensure safety and adherence to care plans.
- Support clients with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean living environment.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote mental well-being.
- Help clients with errands, transportation to appointments, and other daily activities to maintain independence.
Qualifications
- CNA/HCA, Prior experience in home care or personal support roles is preferred; certification in caregiving is a plus.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills essential for building trusting relationships.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting or assisting with mobility safely.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred for assisting clients outside the home.
