Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Home Care Aides (HCAs) to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report any abnormalities to nursing staff.
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in medical records and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's, behavioral health needs, or post-acute recovery.
- Assist with medical procedures including catheter care, phlebotomy, aseptic techniques, and wound care as trained.
- Document patient information thoroughly using EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in settings like ICU, emergency medicine, trauma centers (Level I & II), pediatrics (PICU), or outpatient clinics.
- Support infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients with infectious diseases or requiring isolation precautions.
- Engage in patient education and support activities tailored to individual needs in geriatrics, pediatric care, or behavioral health contexts.
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification or HCA certification required; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
- Experience working in healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU, trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospice care, or home & community care is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks preferred; familiarity with medical terminology and physiology knowledge essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations including seniors, children, individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health needs.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting (Hoyer lift use), standing for extended periods, and assisting with mobility safely.
- Excellent communication skills and compassionate caregiving attitude required to ensure optimal patient service and support.
