What You’ll Do
- Provide top-quality IT support to the Admin and Operations teams.
- Plan, execute, and finalize complex IT projects, including system upgrades, software implementations, infrastructure enhancements, and engineering initiatives.
- Maintain project goals, timelines, and progress tracking to ensure successful delivery of all IT programs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the IT and Data teams, fostering continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Oversee the reliability, security, and performance of all computer systems, servers, networks, and communication infrastructure.
- Manage procurement of hardware and software needed for operations.
- Administer and provide expert support for key business tools, including Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs) and Microsoft Excel.
- Oversee database operations with a foundational understanding of SQL for querying and reporting.
- Research, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies—including modern AI tools—to improve efficiency and support data-driven decision-making across the brokerage.
- Develop and implement IT processes that improve organizational efficiency and customer service.
- Participate in strategic planning meetings related to IT and building needs, providing insight into technology requirements and opportunities.
- Lead the rollout and implementation of new applications and system updates.
- Attend management meetings to communicate IT needs, progress, and recommendations.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- 5 years of progressive experience in Information Technology roles.
- Proven experience in People Management and leading successful IT Project Management initiatives.
- Deep understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs) and PC hardware maintenance.
- Expert proficiency in business software (Google Workspace, Excel).
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL for database interaction and data analysis.
- Experience or strong familiarity with coding/scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Demonstrated ability to research, implement, and utilize the latest AI tools in a professional business setting.
- Experience in the Logistics or Transportation industry.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
- Must have strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions through to completion.
- Ability to prioritize, balance, and organize information while completing multiple tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Presents self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as business needs dictate.
- Above-average proficiency with Google Suite (Admin Apps)
- Microsoft Office (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reporting) preferred
- CompTIA A Certification preferred.
