What You’ll Be Doing
As a Carrier Sales Representative, you'll be the heartbeat of our freight operations. You’ll work closely with carriers and internal teams to keep shipments running smoothly—negotiating rates, building relationships, and delivering exceptional service with speed and accuracy.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Negotiate competitive freight rates with carriers
- Manage daily shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery
- Develop strategic pricing and account plans with your team
- Troubleshoot and resolve transportation issues with urgency and professionalism
- Build a reliable carrier network based on volume and shipping lanes
- Stay ahead of the game with sharp knowledge of lanes, geography, and market trends
- Crush monthly performance goals
- Turn feedback into action—sharpen your skills and own your growth
- Provide "No Fail" service on every load
- Communicate clearly and professionally with drivers, customers, and internal teams
- Collaborate with our Driver Services team to ensure accurate tracking and compliance
- Prevent service failures by qualifying carriers thoroughly
- Escalate challenges appropriately and in line with our internal policies
What You Bring to the Table
- Experience in freight brokerage (2 years required)
- Associate degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Proficiency in Google Drive & Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Top-notch communication skills—written and verbal
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-energy environment
- Willingness to be flexible, including availability after hours if needed
- Strong work ethic and a desire to be the best at what you do
