💼 What You’ll Do
- Build and expand your US-based book of carrier partners, maintaining strong, long-term relationships
- Negotiate freight rates and contracts to maximize profitability
- Manage daily shipments to ensure timely pick-up and delivery
- Resolve transportation issues quickly and professionally
- Collaborate internally on pricing strategy, account plans, and customer solutions
- Maintain market knowledge: lanes, seasonality, geography, and capacity trends
- Meet and exceed KPIs and department goals
- Mentor and train local Panamanian team members in freight brokerage best practices, operational excellence, and relationship management
- Take ownership of critical loads and key accounts
🧠What You Bring
- Freight brokerage, carrier procurement, or logistics experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED required; Associates/Bachelor’s in logistics or business preferred
- Proficiency with Google Drive and Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, reporting)
- Professional English proficiency (written and verbal)
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Passion for mentoring and developing others
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate
