Circa 1886, Charleston's premier fine dining restaurant located within the historic Wentworth Mansion, is seeking a talented and driven Executive Pastry Chef to lead and elevate our pastry program.

This role is an opportunity to craft refined, seasonally inspired desserts while also developing and executing an exceptional in-house bread program that reflects the creativity and precision of our kitchen.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all aspects of the pastry and bread program

• Develop seasonal dessert menus that align with Circa 1886's elevated Southern cuisine

• Create and maintain a high-quality, from-scratch bread program (artisan loaves, rolls, specialty breads)

• Manage ordering, food cost, inventory, and vendor relationships

• Train and mentor pastry team members

• Maintain the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation

• Collaborate with the Executive Chef on tasting menus, wine dinners, and special events

Qualifications:

• 3 years of leadership experience in a fine dining or luxury hospitality environment

• Strong background in artisan bread production and laminated doughs

• Advanced plated dessert experience

• Deep understanding of seasonality and ingredient-driven menus

• Strong organizational and cost-control skills

• Passion for excellence, creativity, and refinement
