Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
The salary range for this position is $100,000-$130,000 represents Cipriani & Werner P.C.’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend upon a number of factors, included but not limited to experience and qualifications.

The Charleston Office in Charleston, WV is looking for a Partner to join our growing team.
Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Management of an individual caseload as well as that of Junior Associates handling all aspects of defense from inception through trial (Trial Experience is a plus, but not required)
- Drafting and responding to pleadings and discovery
- Taking and defending depositions of party and non-party witnesses
- Coordinating with Liability and Damages Experts
- Drafting and arguing discovery and dispositive motions
- Analysis of risk transfer opportunities and drafting of tender letters
- Appearing for court conferences and motion arguments
- Preparing cases for mediation/arbitration
- Assisting in preparations for trial and potential trial attendance
- Must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school and maintain an active license in good standing in West Virginia.
- At least 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in Insurance Defense Litigation, including Civil Liability, Auto, Property, and Workers' Compensation cases.
- Proven track record of handling complex litigation, from pleadings through trial.
- Strong knowledge of West Virginia civil procedure, court rules, and insurance regulations.
- Must be a self-motivated independent thinker with excellent time management skills, strong organizational skills, and outstanding writing and communication skills with the ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced work environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software preferred
