What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler - 2nd Shift position at Cinova Medical?
Summary:
Provide support to direct manufacturing activities. This is in the form of providing all the required functions to maintain an efficient flow of materials to all assigned presses. The Material Handler will ensure that all parts being manufactured and packaged meet the customer expectation for the standard set for each job. Each associate must understand production standards and communicate any variances to the standard to their supervisor.
This position will require familiarity with quality expectations and quality systems required in operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support all required material changeovers in a timely fashion as required by the production schedule
- Mixing of materials to specified standards
- Cleanup of machine drying systems and setup of drying equipment to specifications
- Movement of materials throughout the plant
- Must be trained and authorized to perform lockout, tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Must be forklift certified through Cinova Medical
- Must work efficiently within the ERP system (IQMS)
- Control and grinding of scrap parts and runners, must assure that regrind materials are not contaminated
- Blending of regrind back into our process materials at specified levels
- Maintain proper material levels at all assigned machines so they do not run out
- Separate metal inserts from scrap parts, and operate band saw
- Perform equipment preventative maintenance of grinders and small equipment as assigned
- Maintain hoppers, loaders and mixers
- Must comply with all Cinova Medical safety practices as well as look out for the safety of those around you (i.e. spilled pellets must be cleaned up immediately or someone else may slip and fall)
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:
- Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques
- Knowledge of quality systems and standards, including ISO-9001 and/or ISO-13485
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance
- Knowledge of computers and working within ERP system (IQMS)
- Successful completion of certified forklift operator license (company training program provided)
- Ability to understand Injection Molding processes, secondary equipment and the manufacturing environment
- Ability to use basic math functions, i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages. Simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams, computer scanning devices, use of adjustable measuring instruments

This position is for 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm)
