Full Time Shift Lead (PM Shift & Weekends)

Cinnamom Bakery is seeking a dependable, experienced, and motivated Full-Time Night & Weekend Shift Lead to help oversee operations in our high-volume bakery manufacturing facility.

Cinnamom Bakery is not a traditional small retail bakery. We operate a busy manufacturing facility producing a large volume of cinnamon rolls and bakery products every day, while also maintaining a retail area for customers who visit us in person.

This position is best suited for someone who is comfortable taking ownership of a shift, directing employees, maintaining productivity, and making sure production, cleaning, food safety, and retail responsibilities are completed correctly and on time.

The Shift Lead will work alongside the team while serving as the person responsible for keeping the facility organized, productive, and running smoothly during assigned evening and weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee employees during assigned evening and weekend shifts
• Coordinate daily production, packaging, cleaning, and retail priorities
• Assign work and make sure employees remain productive throughout the shift
• Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or assignments as priorities change
• Help ensure daily production goals and deadlines are met
• Maintain accuracy and consistency in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Provide direction, coaching, and support to employees
• Hold team members accountable for completing assigned responsibilities
• Identify problems and make appropriate decisions when management is not on site
• Communicate production issues, staffing concerns, inventory needs, equipment problems, and other operational concerns to management
• Ensure products are prepared, packaged, labeled, stored, and handled correctly
• Monitor cleanliness and organization throughout production and retail areas
• Ensure employees follow food safety, sanitation, and company procedures
• Oversee closing procedures and confirm required tasks are completed before employees leave
• Ensure the facility is properly secured at the end of the shift
• Assist retail customers and support front-counter operations when needed
• Operate the register and handle customer concerns when necessary

• Be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities at the same time
• Stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
• Be comfortable making decisions and solving problems independently
• Communicate professionally with employees, customers, and management
• Have strong attention to detail and follow-through

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position in a working manufacturing bakery.

Candidates must be comfortable:

• Standing and walking for most of the shift
• Working in a fast-paced production environment
• Repeatedly bending, reaching, lifting, and moving products or supplies
• Working around bakery equipment and production areas
• Performing cleaning and sanitation duties as needed
• Lifting and carrying bakery products, ingredients, boxes, and supplies

Schedule

This is a full-time position.

Night and weekend availability is required.

Candidates should be available for a combination of:

• Weekday evenings
• Friday evenings
• Saturdays
• Sundays

Reliable attendance and consistent availability are extremely important for this position.

Cinnamom Bakery is a growing gourmet cinnamon roll manufacturer producing a large volume of hand-rolled cinnamon rolls and bakery products every day. Our products are produced for multiple sales channels, while our facility also serves customers through an on-site retail operation.

Because of the volume of product moving through our facility, our Shift Leads play an important role in keeping employees organized, maintaining production standards, protecting product quality, and making sure the facility remains clean and operational.
