Duties
- Lead and Coordinate: Direct department activities, establish priorities, and assign staff to critical projects involving control systems, PLC software code, and electric power utilization.
- Ensure Compliance: Oversee electrical designs to guarantee they meet all regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, and NEC standards.
- Develop the Team: Take responsibility for the management, growth, and professional development of our electrical engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate and Negotiate: Work closely with mechanical engineering managers to balance project schedules, manage scope creep, and ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Engage with Clients: Interface directly with customers to understand their unique needs, provide technical expertise, and ensure our custom solutions exceed their expectations.
Qualifications
- A B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 8 years of industrial experience, with at least 10 years of experience working with power and control systems.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role, demonstrating your ability to manage, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a deep understanding of both power supplies and control systems (PLC).
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and the willingness to travel both domestically and internationally (less than 20%) to support our global customer base.
- Experience with programming and control system design utilizing Rockwell AB and Siemens PLC platforms is highly preferred.
