Job Summary:

Provide support to the Reds Photography Department, as well as the Communications & Marketing, Social Media & Content and Ticketing & Revenue departments, with a primary focus on photography, photo editing and cataloging.

Employees are expected to follow all Cincinnati Reds policies and procedures, serve as positive role models and manage their workload effectively. This includes demonstrating flexibility, prioritizing tasks efficiently and meeting departmental productivity standards.

  • College senior working towards a degree in Photography, Visual Arts, Communications or a related field


Experience

  • Experience photographing baseball
  • Must possess an excellent portfolio that demonstrates proficiency in sports, event or action photography


Skills

  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments with the ability to adapt and problem-solve
  • Creative thinker who brings excitement and energy to each day on the job
  • Excellent time management and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism around major league baseball teams

  • Experience photographing baseball, action sports and other live events
  • Must possess an excellent portfolio that demonstrates proficiency in sports, event and action photography
  • Knowledge of Major League Baseball and the Cincinnati Reds


Skills

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Photo Mechanic
  • Ability to set up and run studio shoots
  • Knowledge of photo tagging and cataloging practices to simplify the searchability of digital assets
  • Ability to follow detailed requirements and shot lists
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms


Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Game Action Photography: Photographing Reds games at Great American Ball Park

Game Day Photography: Focus areas include on-field ceremonies, fans around the ballpark, giveaways, activations, Reds mascots, etc.

Corporate and Sponsorship Support: Document ballpark signage, sponsor branding, in-stadium advertisements and Ticketing & Revenue events

Photograph activations for Reds Consumer Clubs, Season Ticket Members, and Group & Premium Ticket Sales

Photo Editing and Archiving: Edit and prepare images using Photoshop, Lightroom and/or Photo Mechanic

Upload and catalog images using PhotoShelter (the Reds online photo archiving system) ensuring timely and organized access for the team’s content, marketing and creative departments.

Update the team’s archival photo collection

Event Photography: Attend and document various non-game day events, including Reds Community Fund, Reds Hall of Fame & Museum, Reds Front Office and Special Events at Great American Ball Park

Development Path - Next Role & Requirements:

Next Role: Photography Assistant

Development Requirements: Demonstrate growth in photography skills and confidence, with the ability to shoot games, events and assignments with minimal oversight. Establish working relationships with the Communications & Marketing, Social Media & Content and Ticketing & Revenue departments to becoming a reliable and trusted member of the Reds Photo Team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally required to sit
  • Use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear
  • Light lifting/carrying to assist with event preparation
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Employee will have “game-day” responsibilities where the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. Remaining work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment


Additional Details:

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required for games and events.
  • Team-provided Sony photography equipment will be available for use
  • Approximately 30 hours per week; night/weekend hours will be required
  • This is a part-time, seasonal opportunity and no benefits will be provided.
  • This position pays $13.00/hour.
