Position Summary and Purpose
Support Marketing and Sales to meet or exceed company goals while adhering to company policies and practices ensuring all orders are consistent with company terms.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential
Support Sales with accurate and timely CI product and competitive information
Provide technical consultation to customers, analyzing their applications and requirements to recommend appropriate machine configurations, options, and automation solutions.
Strategize with Sales to maximize effectiveness of customer visits and sales calls
Assure CI demonstration machines are in proper working order to support sales and customers
Conduct on-site and remote technical demonstrations, including machine setup, operation, and software integration, to showcase product capabilities and ensure customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with customers to safely develop, test, and optimize machine programs and processes for their specific applications, ensuring maximum performance and efficiency.
Assist engineering and application team in machine development and optimization projects Provide pre and post-sales support in collaboration with the application team to help customers with optimizing their machine for production
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to machine performance, software integration, or application challenges during pre- and post-sales phases.
Assist in developing product and sales materials for use by Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Service
Train customers on machine operation, software usage, and best practices to ensure successful adoption and production efficiency.
Assist Product Manager in obtaining and analyzing internal and external market and competitive information
Collaborate with Product Manager, Engineering and Service to develop, enhance and test products to meet market needs
Stay current with industry trends, competitor technologies, and advancements in laser and automation systems to provide informed recommendations to customers and internal teams.
Other tasks as assigned by your manager
Maintain a high level of industry knowledge, product knowledge and professionalism to support CI sales and CI customers
Assist other departments as needed to maximize customer satisfaction
Commitment to company values of continuous improvement
Adopt and promote lean practices in all activities, considering the elimination of wasteful resources for any goal other than the creation of value for the end customer Hybrid work schedule available (must live within a 6-hour drive of Harrison, OH)
Requires flexibility to travel (50% minimum) to the corporate office, customer locations, and tradeshows within the USA, Canada, & Mexico.
Travel includes overnight stays, air, and car travel. (valid driver’s license required)

Create white papers for trade publications and marketing efforts
Education and Experience
Minimum two years related experience in sales, marketing, or manufacturing
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred
Extensive technical knowledge of CI products
Experience in machine tool applications or engineering
Skills
Strong customer orientation
Proficient in MS Office and Google Workspace applications
Ability to create and delivery presentations to small and large groups
Proficient in 2D CAD/CAM software applications (preferably Solid Edge)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to take ownership of a project and lead by example
Proficient in project management systems
Adopt and promote Lean practices in all activities
