DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with Purchasing Team members on sourcing, negotiating and procuring the goods and services needed to maintain corporate initiatives
- Work on special projects to reduce cost and outline better processes for creating long-term value
- Develop supplier relationships to enhance the current ones in place and also look for new potential sources
- Where appropriate, develop supplier relationships into valued partnerships where both companies are looking into suggestions for enhancing their capabilities and profitability
- Within assigned commodities, explore ways to make better strategic decisions and collaboratively interact with other CI business units on improving the overall value of the supplier to the organization
- Coordinate with Sales and Operations Teams to get forecasts and time lines for machines in order to communicate clearly to our suppliers. Be prepared to gather suppliers’ feedback in order to update the Sales and Operations Teams
- Place timely purchase orders to suppliers based on system requirements, forecasts, or safety stock needs
- Five or more years Procurement, Purchasing or Buying experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelors Degree or higher in Purchasing, Accounting, or other Business related field
- MBA is preferred
