PK Teacher's Aide
Reports To: Early Childhood Learning Center Principal
Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Job Summary: Act in a support role to the classroom teacher
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing the daily program under the direction of the teacher
- Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies
- Supervise children when the Head Teacher is in or out of the classroom
- Help with the general housekeeping tasks
- Keep record of the periodic cleaning of cots, materials and furnishings
- Assist the teacher in any other appropriate ways
- Maintain a professional attitude and representation of the school at all times
- Faithfully implement the systems, policies and procedures as outlined by the Head of School and/or Preschool Administrator
- Attend workshops, seminars, and conferences as directed
- Must obtain Ohio Educational Aide Permit prior to start date, if does not have a teaching license
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School diploma
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, preferred
- Experience working with preschool or elementary aged children
- Strong Christian background
- Comfortable working in a multi-denomination Christian community
