Preschool Teacher’s Aide – Part-Time Morning Position (option for full-time)

Do you love working with young children and want to gain hands-on classroom experience? Arches Oak Hills is looking for a dependable, energetic, and caring Preschool Teacher’s Aide to join our team!
This position is an excellent opportunity for someone studying Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field—or for anyone who enjoys helping young children learn and grow. Previous classroom experience is helpful but not required. We are happy to train the right person!
Schedule
- Monday through Thursday
- 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
- Approximately 16 hours per week
- Additional hours are available for someone interested in working a longer day. Our center is open from 6:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead preschool teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
- Engage children in play, learning centers, art projects, stories, and group activities
- Help children during transitions, snack, bathroom breaks, and cleanup
- Provide a safe, positive, and nurturing classroom environment
- Supervise and interact with children both indoors and outdoors
- Help prepare classroom materials and keep the room clean and organized
- Build warm, encouraging relationships with children, families, and coworkers
- Follow all center policies and Ohio childcare licensing requirements
We Are Looking for Someone Who Is
- Kind, patient, dependable, and enthusiastic
- Comfortable working with preschool-aged children
- Able to take direction and work as part of a teaching team
- Energetic and willing to actively participate in the classroom
- Dependable and able to maintain a consistent Monday–Thursday schedule
- At least 18 years old
- Able to complete required background checks and childcare training
