The Package Engineering Designer / Manufacturing Engineer I is responsible for the mechanical design of packaged equipment used in industrial and recreational refrigeration applications. This role focuses on developing practical, manufacturable, and serviceable designs that meet customer requirements, site conditions, and applicable standards.

Responsibilities
• Create 3D SolidWorks models and fabrication drawings based on dimensional constraints, job site conditions, and customer requirements
• Select mechanical components using working knowledge of pumps, compressors, motors, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and control valves
• Design refrigeration piping layouts in accordance with applicable refrigeration standards, with consideration for manufacturability and serviceability
• Collaborate with manufacturing, construction, and other internal stakeholders to support efficient design execution
• Prepare and review bills of material (BOMs) and issue material requisitions using SAP software
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (typically Mechanical Engineering)
• 1–2 years of relevant engineering or mechanical design experience
• Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
• Working knowledge of mechanical components and refrigeration systems
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional engineering and manufacturing environment
