Cimarron is seeking a GNOSC Server/Applications/Watch Officer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO.
Key Duties
- Support a 24/7 Global Network Operations Center by assisting with event coordination, mission support, and executing Server/Applications/Watch Officer duties for MDA events, exercises, and war games.
- Create and respond to Remedy incident tickets, collaborating with customers to resolve network communication issues.
- Monitor network, systems, cloud environments, and cybersecurity, including environmental surveillance and incident management.
- Support service maintenance activities and coordinate change management during assigned shifts.
- Manage IT incident escalation and resolution, providing clear communication to executive leadership and the Government customer.
- Administer Linux and Windows environments, including troubleshooting, patching, break/fix support, and system audit log reviews.
- Provide operations and maintenance for complex application systems within an Active Directory environment, including MS SQL Server 2016/2019 and IIS 10.
- Monitor application battle rhythm and resolve application issues, software conflicts, and client-server or web application problems.
- Install and configure IIS and web applications; troubleshoot RHEL, Apache, Tomcat, and apply DISA STIGs to web servers and websites.
- Manage COTS, GOTS, and custom-developed software applications.
- Coordinate with GNOSC Watch Officers and MST personnel to manage outages and degradations, ensuring timely resolution and status communication.
- Manage the Mission Support Schedule to align CIO assets with event requirements and coordinate with operations personnel.
- Provide post-event input, including lessons learned and hot wash recommendations.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education :
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at the time.
- This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. - Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
- Active Secret Clearance (or higher).
- 2 or more years of directly related experience.
- Current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification (ex., Security CE).
- Ability to coordinate with the GNOSC Manager, Event Team Lead, and Watch Officers to meet IT service level requirements.
- Experience coordinating with Change Management and leadership to ensure service levels are met and to assess event posture impacts.
- Ability to execute assigned job roles and responsibilities effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership in troubleshooting time-sensitive issues across the network, systems, servers, and applications in a geographically distributed enterprise.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in developing comprehensive and detailed documentation.
- Ability to follow established processes and procedures and provide feedback for improvements.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
- Experience in metrics-based IT operations and maintenance.
- Experience with the Remedy ticketing system.
- Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019 and Linux.
- Experience with complex application systems, including PowerShell, RHEL, IIS, Apache, and Tomcat.
