Project Controls Coordinator
Job Description
The Project Controls Coordinator will be responsible to handle, but is not limited to the following:
Essential Function:
- Handles project planning, including cost control, schedule control and change order administration.
- Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates, as well as any changes in estimates relating to change orders.
- Assists with procurement and delivery of equipment rentals and materials as needed.
- Review project budget comparison reports on a weekly basis. Works with CIMA accounting team on financial reviews of projects.
- Monitor hours against project estimates, and review daily reports for delays, scope of work changes, etc.
- Prepare monthly schedule of values reports, and work with CIMA project accounting team to complete billing. Attend and direct monthly project billing reviews. Review and approve customer invoices as needed.
- Completes purchase orders for project and coordinates orders with vendors as needed.
- Assists with accounts payable invoice inquiries as necessary.
- Coordinates and obtains financial documentation, such as copies of billing, and accounts payable for project manager as necessary.
- Coordinates onsite receipts of materials and supplies.
- Responsible for ordering office supplies for field as needed.
- Coordinates equipment, rentals, usage, repairs with CIMA office as necessary.
- Performs other project support related duties as assigned by members of the management team.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Excel, Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Ability to multi-task, and complete work by deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to various customer assignments as projects are completed.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma required.
- Three to five years of progressive administrative experience in a construction environment
Work Conditions/Physical Demands
- Direct client service interaction.
- Travel to and from customer sites.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a compute
