About the Company
A leading regulated energy organization is seeking an experienced Manager, Project Controls to provide oversight and assurance for large, complex capital projects within a growing New Generation portfolio.
About the Role
This is a high‑impact leadership role focused on cost and schedule predictability, risk management, and governance, working closely with Project and Construction Managers to ensure disciplined project execution across the lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands‑on oversight and assurance for major capital projects to ensure cost, schedule, and risk certainty
- Lead and support stage‑gate / governance reviews, including evaluation of business cases and control deliverables
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert in project controls, risk management, change control, and contingency management
- Establish and continuously improve project management and controls standards
- Mentor and develop project controls professionals; deliver training in project controls disciplines (e.g., QRA)
- Influence outcomes without direct authority, partnering across project teams and senior stakeholders
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in capital project development and project controls
- Background supporting large, complex utility, energy, or oil & gas projects
- Strong experience working with or alongside EPC / engineering organizations
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar (MBA a plus)
- Proven ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels
Required Skills
