About the Role: This is a pivotal role in supporting the company's growth and maintaining financial integrity. The Production Planning Lead will play a key role in coordinating and overseeing the production planning process to ensure that our snack products are produced on time and meet all quality standards. This individual will work closely with the production team to optimize manufacturing capacity, monitor inventory levels, and ensure that all activities are in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a detailed production plan that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure that production schedules are on-time and meet quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and production capacity to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
- Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to ensure that raw materials and components are available in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Plan and prioritize production schedules based on customer demand and sales forecasts.
- Track production activities and provide regular updates to senior management on production status.
- Implement and maintain production planning software to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Industrial engineering, supply chain management or related field.
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in production planning or supply chain management in the food production industry.
- Strong proficiency in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and MPS (Master Production Scheduling)Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with multiple departments effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience working within the CPG industry preferred.
Preferred Skills:
APICS- Certified in Production and Inventory.
CPIM- Certified Supply Chain
