We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pizza/ Prep Cook to join our culinary team.
We are a brand new cafe serving hot and cold sandwiches and a full slice counter and pizzeria!
No late nights, closed at 3!
The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in the food industry. This role involves preparing high-quality pizzas and supporting overall kitchen operations to ensure a delightful dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure freshness and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety protocols
- Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and cooking appliances
- Support the team during busy service times by preparing ingredients and assisting with plating
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health regulations and safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experience
- Assist in catering events or special functions as needed
Experience
- Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service is preferred
- Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Knowledge of menu planning and food safety practices is highly desirable
- Experience in fine dining or the food industry demonstrates strong culinary skills
- Skills in food handling, meal preparation, and knife techniques are essential
- Background in catering, serving, or kitchen operations will be advantageous
