Commercial/Hospitality Interior Designer – Raleigh, NC

Ci Design, Inc. (Ci) seeks dynamic and vibrant professionals who can share their unique talents and make their mark within our growing and highly collaborative design firm which works in several thriving markets with practices including multi-family commercial, science and technology, and mission critical. Within each of these practices, our team provides exceptional services in architecture, planning, landscape design, experiential graphics and branding, lab and manufacturing planning, interior design and architecture, and procurement.
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Interior Designer to work full-time in our Raleigh, NC office with focus on our Commercial Multi-family team. The Interior Designer will assist in design, coordination, production, and development of various commercial design projects. This position requires a strong understanding of current design trends, materiality, FF&E, and a Perficient level of experience using Revit, InDesign, & Photoshop software. In addition, this position requires the ability to communicate effectively with the design team and adapt to changes and elect most effective methods of accomplishing tasks. Responsibilities, Requirements and Qualifications:
- Assists on the ideation, conceptual, and schematic design development of various projects to support client goals, budgets and timelines.
- Participates in the design, production, and construction documentation phases of various commercial projects throughout the lifecycle of a project using Revit software.
- Assists senior designers in selecting fixtures and finishes
- Under supervision, develops preliminary space plans at a high level
- At direction of senior designers, may provide suggested details for interior design projects
- Researches and collects details for furniture and finish cost estimates.
- Assists with Procurement as needed
- Assists with construction administration, RFIs, project submittals, and project site visits.
- Meets project schedules and maintains positive relationships with clients and the Ci Design project teams
- Ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks.
- Versatile, self-motivated, and articulate.
- Is aware and supportive to the work of other designers and junior designers
- Strong organizational skills.
- Desire for continued professional growth, NCIDQ Certified or on track with certification.
- Additional graphic and 3D software capabilities are a plus.
Skills, Knowledge, Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design/interior architecture from a CIDA accredited College or University.
- Preferred minimum 5 years related experience with multifamily, commercial, or hospitality projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, InDesign, Photoshop, Sketch-Up, and Microsoft Office Applications.
- Knowledge of commercial FF&E products, design, and specifications.
- Familiarity with building systems, codes and ADA requirements
- Intermediate sketching and space planning skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
