Job Description
As a Store Sales Associates, you will primarily work in our Boutique retail store. Your duties include but are not limited to; approaching customers, promoting products, providing information on discounts, answering customer inquiries, and collecting payments. A large part of your job is to generate sales and attract repeat customers. You need to know and thoroughly understand the products we carry. You will also be responsible for greeting customers, answering questions, offering assistance, suggesting items, providing product information, inventory management and register operations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrating accuracy and efficiency while transacting on our POS System.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in receiving and pricing of inventory.
- Assist in inventory physical counts as needed.
- Inspect incoming products for damage.
- Outstanding customer service skills and phone etiquette.
- Ability to upsell.
- Willingness to learn and be knowledgeable about our products and their location on the property.
- Have a positive attitude!
- Maintain a standard of cleanliness and organization.
- Working in and maintaining a team environment
- Being able to take direction and see tasks to their completion.
- Excellent communication skills
- Be self-motivated and take the initiative to carry out day-to-day tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 17 years of age.
- Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate or similar role
- Understanding of the retail sales process
- Knowledge of inventory management procedures
- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate with customers, associates, and managers effectively.
- Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
- Positive attitude and willingness to help and learn.
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Basic math skills
- Be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Be able to lift weight/move items up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to work on weekends and holidays.
- Able to be on your feet for an 8-hour shift.
Job Type:
Full-time (min of 4 full 8 hour days), including 1 weekend day and holidays.
Experience:
- Customer Service/Retail: 3 years (Required)
- Boutique Retail sales:1 year (Preferred)
- Gardening/Nursery Sales: 1 year (Preferred)

Disclaimer: Churchill’s Garden Center employee demands vary from season to season. Peak time is Spring (April-June). Shifts can be added, reduced or modified with little or no notice. Days and hours of work vary by schedule.
