Custodian (Part-Time)
Church of the Apostles UCC – Lancaster, PA
Church of the Apostles UCC is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Part-Time Evening Custodian to help maintain a clean, welcoming environment for our members, guests, and community partners.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently and takes pride in creating clean, inviting spaces.
Schedule
· Part-time hourly position
· Flexible hours before or after the church office closes
· Days are flexible based on the successful candidate’s availability
· The Lobby & Sanctuary must be cleaned on either Friday evening or Saturday
Responsibilities
· Clean and maintain the lobby & sanctuary, office wing and west wing.
· West wing (bathrooms, vacuum classrooms, sweep & mop weekly.
· Office wing may be cleaned on Monday before 9am. Narthex tables wiped and table area swept on Monday morning.
· Empty trash and recycling.
· Weekly clean and sanitize restrooms.
· Vacuum hallways, offices, and common areas.
· Mop lobby and hard-surface floors.
· Clean interior & exterior glass, windows, and doors.
· Dust and wipe surfaces as needed.
· Report maintenance concerns promptly to the Property Manager.
· Secure the building at the end of each shift.
Qualifications
· Reliable and punctual.
· Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Able to lift up to 30 pounds and perform routine cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, and walking.
· Previous custodial or cleaning experience is required

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 12.0 per week
