Packaging Line Technician
Pay: Starting at $26.98/hr
Shift: 2-2-3 Rotation, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
About the Role
Church & Dwight is hiring a Packaging Line Technician to operate and maintain manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment. You'll run machines including the un-scrambler, filler, case former, case sealer, Hartness case packer, and palletizer/stretch wrapper, while performing autonomous maintenance to keep lines running at targeted OEE rates. Full training provided upon hire.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate equipment to meet quality, scheduling, and customer requirements
- Follow standard work and participate in machine set-up and changeover functions
- Verify materials and components to ensure quality standards are met
- Participate in line troubleshooting and problem-solving activities
- Perform autonomous maintenance functions: cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and tightening
- Operate auxiliary/support equipment
- Use company software and electronic systems to support line operations
- Identify areas of waste and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area aligned with 5S standards
- Support and adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures
What You'll Need
- High school diploma or GED
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Good communication and organizational/time management skills
- Ability to work well with others across the team
