About the Role
The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for executing day-to-day social media content for Chula Vista Resort and its supported sub-brands. This role focuses on consistent posting, engaging storytelling, and performance tracking across social platforms, with the goal of increasing brand awareness, engagement, and guest interest.
This is an entry-level, non-managerial role. While the coordinator manages content, they do not manage staff.
Content & Posting Expectations
- Instagram & Facebook: 4–6 feed posts per week and 3–5 stories per week
- TikTok / Reels: 2–3 short-form videos per week
- Content includes resort experiences, waterparks, dining, events, meetings, promotions, seasonal content, and behind-the-scenes storytelling
- Posting schedules may shift seasonally based on resort activity
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Execution
- Create written, photo, and video content aligned with brand voice and marketing goals
- Capture on-property content including events, attractions, dining, golf, and seasonal activities
- Edit content using tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suites, or similar platforms
- Write captions and hashtags optimized for engagement
Scheduling & Publishing
- Maintain and execute the social media content calendar for over 8 profiles across 5 channels
- Schedule and publish content using approved social media tools
- Ensure consistency across platforms while adapting content formats
Community Engagement
- Monitor comments, messages, and engagement daily
- Escalate guest service issues or feedback to appropriate teams
- Engage with followers in a timely, brand-appropriate manner
Performance Tracking & KPIs
- Track engagement rate, reach, impressions, and follower growth
- Monitor video views and completion rates
- Track clicks to website or booking pages
- Provide monthly performance summaries and insights
- Adjust content strategy based on performance trends
Planning & Collaboration
- Participate in content planning meetings
- Stay current on social media trends and platform updates
- Support marketing campaigns, promotions, and resort initiatives

Qualifications
- Interest in social media, marketing, communications, or digital content
- Strong writing skills with attention to brand voice and tone
- Comfortable using social media platforms professionally or personally
- Experience with Canva, CapCut, or similar tools preferred
- Familiarity with Meta Business Suite or scheduling platforms a plus
- Organized, creative, and adaptable
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, active resort environment
