What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance HVAC and Electrical Tech position at Chula Vista Resort?
HVAC/Electrical tech will be responsible for the repair and replacement of HVAC PTACS, VTACs and the service of some larger package units. Tasks may include the following:
• Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.
• Comply with all applicable standards, policies, or procedures, such as safety procedures or the maintenance of a clean work area.
• Discuss heating or cooling system malfunctions with users to isolate problems or to verify that repairs corrected malfunctions.
• Adjust system controls to settings recommended by manufacturer to balance system.
• Recommend, develop, or perform preventive or general maintenance procedures, such as cleaning, power-washing, or vacuuming equipment, oiling parts, or changing filters.
• Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
• Install, connect, or adjust thermostats, humidistats, or timers.
• Record and report time, materials, faults, deficiencies, or other unusual occurrences on work orders.
• Mount compressor, condenser, and other components in specified locations on frames, using hand tools and acetylene welding equipment.
• Repair or service heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to improve efficiency, such as by changing filters, cleaning ducts, and refilling non-toxic refrigerants.
Chula Vista is a multi facetted year round resort and duties are not limited to HVAC/Electrical. Conducting other routine resort maintenance duties may be required.
Rate of pay range based on experience is $24 - $30 per hour.
Qualifications:*Preferred 3 years' experience trouble shooting, repairing and/or replacement HVAC systems.
*Must also possess the knowledge of multi voltage electrical (120v, 208/230v, 277v, ETC.).
*HVAC Certification required, all types preferred up to universal

*Hearing: The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds
*Vision: The ability to see clearly at approximately 20 inches or less (near visual acuity) and at 20 feet or more (far visual acuity)
