Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Accounting Clerk to join our admin office. In this vital role, you will manage various accounting functions, ensure accurate financial record-keeping, and support our dealership’s financial operations with precision and professionalism. Your expertise in accounting software and financial concepts will help keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Job Duties
- Automotive dealership experience is a must
- Perform accounts payable and receivable processing, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Assist with reconciling funded deals and receivables.
- Assist with deal status updates.
- Registration and titling of motor vehicles
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Enter data accurately into accounting software such as Google Docs, Excel, Tekion, etc.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures, journal entries, and account analysis
- Support internal audits and prepare documentation for governmental or external audits as needed
- Process premium payments and product cancellations
- Reconcile dealer reserve statements
- Scan documents into our DMS for confidential record keeping
Skills
- Ability to perform detailed data entry, account reconciliation, and journal entries with high accuracy
- Excellent math skills combined with strong analytical abilities for account analysis and budgeting
- Experience with accounts payable/receivable processes and tax-related accounting tasks
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and support financial services functions
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour based on experience
