What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacist position at CHS Pharmacy?
CHS Pharmacy has an opening for a dedicated professional to join our team. Located in Cimarron, KS, our closed-door pharmacy serves local nursing homes, group homes and other similar facilities. We have an immediate need for an experienced Part-Time Pharmacist working up to 20 hours a week, Monday - Friday, with possible Saturday's and also taking call.
The listed position for a LTC pharmacist includes a variety of responsibilities, including prescription verification, reviewing medication profiles for interactions and appropriate therapy, processing new admissions and medication changes/orders, communicating with nurses and prescribers to clarify orders, overseeing pharmacy technicians and dispensing workflow, and assisting with medication availability, insurance and clinical concerns. This pharmacist will be on their feet the majority of the day. Candidates must display high attention to detail, have strong organization skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must have an active Kansas Registered Pharmacist license in good standing with the Kansas Board of Pharmacy prior to start date. Previous LTC work experience preferred, but not required.
