Responsibilities
- Be involved with the rural community overall.
- Manage all aspects of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory control, and staff supervision.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, state and federal pharmacy laws, and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement medication therapy plans tailored to patient needs.
- Utilize pharmacy software and EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation, prescription processing, and patient record management.
- Lead initiatives in immunizations administration, pain management protocols, and medical management strategies to enhance patient outcomes.
- Monitor inventory levels meticulously to prevent shortages or overstocking while managing procurement processes efficiently.
- Provide mentorship and training to pharmacy technicians and new staff to uphold high standards of patient service and clinical practice.
Requirements
- Valid pharmacist license in good standing with current registration.
- Demonstrated proficiency with pharmacy software systems and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
- Familiarity with inventory management practices within a healthcare setting.
- Ability to assess patients comprehensively for medication appropriateness and safety considerations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams; knowledge of HIPAA regulations is essential.
- Established pharmacist or newly graduated pharmacist.
