Duties
- Supervise children during after school hours, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students
- Implement engaging educational activities that promote childhood development, creativity, and social skills
- Manage classroom behavior with effective behavior management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques
- Coordinate with parents, guardians, and school staff to communicate progress and address any concerns
- Lead extracurricular activities such as sports coaching, arts, theater, or tutoring sessions to enrich the children's experience
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and maintain accurate incident reports to ensure safety standards are met
- Support children with special education needs by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, babysitting, or early childhood education
- Demonstrated classroom management skills to maintain order while fostering a positive learning environment
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
- Experience with special education or working with children who have unique learning needs is a plus
- Familiarity with child safety protocols including first aid certification is preferred
- Background in sports coaching, theater arts, or Christian counseling can enhance your ability to connect with students effectively
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and school staff effectively
